Penelope, video installazione mono canale, è un omaggio alla celebre figura narrata nell’Odissea della quale l’artista, immedesimandosi nell’attesa del ritorno di Ulisse, sottolinea un aspetto che è più legato alla rabbia provocata delle sfide a cui viene obbligatoriamente sottoposta. La tela infatti è stata sostituita da un vaso che viene ridotto a pezzi con una mazza e che attraverso un video rewind si ricostruisce all’infinto.
Penelope, a single-channel video installation, is a tribute to the famous figure narrated in the Odyssey, in which the artist, identifying herself thinking of the expectation of Ulysses’ return. Eleonora underlines an aspect in the story of Penelope, that is more linked to the anger provoked by challenges to which she is necessarily subjected. In fact, the canvas has been replaced by a vase which is reduced to pieces with a mallet and which is reconstructed infinitely through a video rewind.
