“La terra è una trappola” E.R.
Anche questa video installazione si basa su un episodio dell’infanzia dell’artista che amava perdersi in un campo di granoturco di fronte alla casa di montagna esperendo così quel sentimento di sturm und drang che avrebbe caratterizzato gran parte del suo lavoro futuro.
Il gioco all’inizio, poi la curiosità e poi la perdita dell’orientamento. Alla fine la scomparsa. Il presente è assenza, sospensione. La terra conserva il ricordo di ciò che è accaduto. Giochi per bambini seri come la vita stessa. La composizione delle immagini per il video così come il ritmo, sono tra gli aspetti più importanti per l’artista. “Le riprese sono state effettuate da tre angolazioni. Il mio dall’alto. Un’altra di una delle ragazzine che conduce il pubblico nel campo. E le microcamere reciproche su entrambe le ragazze”.

This video installation is based on an episode from the childhood of the artist who loved to get lost in a cornfield in front of the mountain house, thus experiencing that feeling of sturm und drang that would characterize much of his future work. The game at the beginning, then the curiosity and then the loss of orientation. Eventually the disappearance. The present is absence, suspension. The earth holds the memory of what happened. Games for children as serious as life itself. The composition of the images for the video as well as the rhythm are among the most important aspects for the artist. “The shots were taken from three angles. Mine from above.
