Before the dawn è un videoclip realizzato per il gruppo della scena underground milanese Luminanceratio. Il videoclip è stato costruito come una vera e propria performance di video arte. La location è la grande spiaggia di Marina di Pietrasanta (LU). L’artista ha cercato di creare delle immagini che sfidassero la percezione visiva dello spettatore. Durante l’azione, l’artista si muoveva al contrario, camminava al contrario ecc. In post produzione, le stesse immagini sono state montate in rewind ottenendo un effetto straniante se osservate attentamente (“ciò che vedo è reale? effettivamente, no”). Il senso del perturbante è ancora una volta protagonista.
Le immagini in sovrapposizione sono un chiaro omaggio a Peter Greenaway.
Before the dawn is a video clip created for the band of the Milanese underground scene Luminanceratio. The video clip was builted as a real video art performance. The location is the large beach of Marina di Pietrasanta (LU). The artist wanted to create film that challenge the viewer’s visual perception. During the action, the artist moved backwards, walked backwards, etc. In post-production, the same images were edited in rewind obtaining an alienating effect if observed carefully (“is what I really see? actually, no”). The sense of the perturbance is once again the protagonist.
The overlay images are a clear homage to Peter Greenaway.
